May 9-10 2026

This was our 4th year running our Area show and it just gets bigger and better every year.Unusually the weather wasn’t as sunny as all other years but it was o.k. and didn’t rain.

We had a fantastic turn out of vehicles, displays and re-enactors.

Next years show dates are 8-9 May 2027, bookings are now open and fill up fast so if you want to come book in now.

Blake Mere Club Camp 80th V E Day celebrations.

This was our third year holding our annual area club camp and boy did we hold a fantastic show, even bigger than last years show with over 80 vehicles and re-enactors on site. We had wall to wall sunshine yet again all weekend and what a vibe we had on the show field just like shows used to be, we also had our first area BBQ which was much appreciated, thanks Rob for being the BBQ Chef lovely grub.Well plans are ongoing for next years Show so watch this space? December 2024

Well what do you buy a man who has everything for Christmas ? Well better get him a replacement engine for his Sabre CVRT, on a return run back from fueling up, the engine on Steve’s CVRT Sabre engine decided to part company with one of its con rods with a huge BANG !

The vehicle was saved from a huge fire by the actions of Garry who was driving it at the time and a fire extinguisher, yes thats why you should always carry a working fire extinguisher in your Military vehicle at all times.

Today we were invited to attend an open day at Autism Together at Mill Lane Overpool on the Wirral.

We had a great time there and the sun shone all day, everybody who popped in enjoyed our vehicles and we were invited back again. This is why we like supporting our community through events like this.

We held our second annual camp at Blakemeer village Sandiway this weekend and what glorious weather we had, a huge turn out of vehicles and a very large attendance of the public who were very interetested in our displays. See the Area Photo gallery page for a lot more photos of the show.

6/7 April 2024

The No mans land show at Dyseth North Wales, well what can you say a total wash out due to the very heavy rains and extremely high winds.

The show was cancelled on the Saturday afternoon after the beer tent collapsed with people in it due to the very high winds, such a shame as this is a very good show which is getting bigger, but you can plan for everything except the weather.

8/9 July 2023

Cheshire and Merseyside Area MVT attended the Cheshire Steam Fair at Chester road near Warrington. A good turn out of Military vehicles, weather was dire with sunny spells, then rain showers, then the monsoon season, good job we are hardy people up North!

The Cheshire and Merseyside Area MVT once again attended the Caerwys Show , good show of vehicles although the weather was a bit iffy at times.

   

   

   

   

30th June 2023

On 6th June 2024, it will be 80 years since the D-Day landings, the start of the greatest seaborne invasion in history and many of our members will travel to Normandy to be part of the commemorations to mark the anniversary.

We have created #MVTDDAY24, an inclusive community which will support our members making the visit.

By joining this community, members will benefit from information, guidance and support and a rally pack before we travel and once we are out there, recieve updates. attend special events, interact and join up with each other, through our community network.

19/20/21 May 2023

Cheshire and Merseyside Area held there annual club camp at Blakemere Village Sandiway near Chester. We had glorious sunshine on all three days and a good turn out of Military vehicles and even a classic car snuck in.

The village itself has dozens of small craft shops, antique shops and even a funfair, so something for the wife and kids as well.

This site has great potential  and has asked us back again next year, so watch this space.

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

8/9 April 2023

Members of the Cheshire and Merseyside Area MVT once again attended the No Mans Land show at Dyseth North Wales.

This years show had grown in size with more stall holders and even more re-enactors and vehicle displays. We had a medieval blacksmith, Romans and even a Free Polish Army re-enactment group as well. We were treated to displays of British WW2 soldiers and a battle between the Americans and German Fallschirmjager paratroopers.

     

     

 

8 March 2023

MVT members and friends and family of John Webster attended his funeral today, as John’s request was to have his coffin taken to the Church and cemetary on the back of a Ferret armoured recon vehicle we arranged this for him and his family.

The weather was bitterly cold but sunny and we missed the snow, a large crowd of mourners was present as John had a lot of friends and Family and was liked and loved by many people, rest in peace now John you fought to the end and never gave in.

It is with great sadness that we have to inform area members that our friend and long time NVT member John Webster sadly passed away last night.

John fought a long battle with illness and sadly passed away last night, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Michele and family at this very sad time.

Happy New Year 2023. Fantastic day on our first road run of the New Year. We started off at the sanctuary cafe and headed towards Cheshire past Delamere forest and round Frodsham, were we had a bite to eat and back towards the Wirral were we enjoyed a private bus ride on one of the old buses towards New Brighton!

Cheshire and Merseyside members attended an event in support of 610 Squadron at the Woodcote hotel Hooton Cheshire. We had a good turn out of vehicles and many re-enactors with displays.

Cheshire and Merseyside Area attended the annual Birkenhead bus and tram show in Taylor street Birkenhead, weather was kind to us this year and we had a lot of people enjoying the show and vintage bus and tram rides.

Area members attended the Malpas yesteryear show, otherwise known as the Malpas MudFest, but thankfully it was dry and sunny on the Saturday but rained on the Sunday, ah well.

Cheshire and Merseyside Area members attended an open day show at the Boat museum Ellesmere Port Cheshire.

Cheshire and Merseyside Area MVT attended the Hooton Park open day to celebrate the opening of hangar 16 after its renovation and now containing a collection of Historic vintage aircraft.

The weather was great with sunshine most of the day and temperatures in the low 20 s,c, we had a good turn out of military vehicles, historic buses, re-enactors, radio control boats and vehicles on display, vesper scooter club, trade stalls and even the PM turned up, Winston Churchill that is, and gave us a rousing speach.

The car parks were full to over flowing and we must have had over 2,000 people on site, what a great turn out!

23/24 April 2022

Cheshire and Merseyside Area MVT attended the No Mans Land show at Bodrhyddon Hall Dyseth near sunny Rhyl on 23/24 April 2022.

The weather was a bit hit and miss but mostly sunny, there were several other re-enactor groups  including Romans, Greeks, Vikings, Medieval Knights, WW1 soldiers etc etc.

Really great to see the other side of re-enacting. Everyone had a great weekend and got to drive around in their vehicles.

Members of the Cheshire and Merseyside Area MVT attended a small show held in Birkenhead park to mark the 175th Anniversary of it being the worlds first publicly funded park opened on th 5th April 1847, and was the model for Central park in New York America.

The Cheshire and Merseyside Area of the MVT was invited by Church Drive Primary School to bring along our Military vehicles and displays on Wednesday 9th Febuary 2022 for the children to see and explore.

A great time was enjoyed by everyone, especially the children and we have been asked to come back again.

We would like to thank the Teachers and children for giving us such a fantastic welcome and for sending us some of the pictures the children made after our visit.

Today the Area had a road run to Delamere and Lady Heyes, the weather was good and it was well attended by Area members and their vehicles.

Today we attended the funeral of Area member Ray Galloway a long time member of the MVT since 2008, the Area did him proud by bearing his coffin to the crematorium on his final road run on the back of Steves Ferret, he will be sadly missed by everyone.

12th January 2022

Today we had the first meeting of the newly reformed Cheshire and Merseyside Area of the MVT, one of the oldest areas of the MVT.

We held our first AGM as a newly reformed area and duly voted in our new Area Secretary Steve Walling.

Alex Jenkins and Dave Sutton attended a Military vehicle show organised by the West Pennines Area MVT, being held on the Avro Aircraft Museum site, a few MVT members attended with their vehicles and the museum was very interesting to look around, there was a classic car display as well.
